It's one of those days,
When the world is full of delays.
Trains, paychecks, rest, love,
All delayed and relayed to another day or one.
What you can do,
When the gigantic gray mantle of the world,
Falls over your shoulders?
It must have been you,
When in years back a happy kid thought,
Of life's troubles as if they were toy boulders.
Rolling on the streets, never on the sidewalk,
Like a tired sky-flying dragon-hawk,
The kid was sick of playing,
And all he did was close his eyes and start dreaming.
Of knights, dragons, space stations,
Bravery and courage, honor and valor.
But when the kid grew older,
He also got wiser,
And thought if there weren't child dreams,
Where would he hide from the cold-blooded social beams,
That the world projects over every human's face,
Binding him down to our home sweet lone society at stake.
But, hey, you, come on,
Don’t read this shit and tag along.
Remember it’s only Wednesday,
Like it was called in the Mickey Mouse Box Set,
“The anything-can-happen day”.
So follow up the river flows,
And see where this day goes.
